Israel uses Mark 80 series and BLU-109. They are made by General Dynamics in USA.

They are quite heavy.

Mk 82 = 500 lb
Mk 83 = 1000 lb
Mk 84 = 2000 lb
BLU-109 = 2000 lb

When the Mark 80 series are fitted with precision kits, these bombs take new names.

Mk 82 = 500 lb –> GBU-38
Mk 83 = 1000 lb –> GBU-32
Mk 84 = 2000 lb –> GBU-31

The precision kits are called JDAMS. They convert “dumb bombs” to “smart bombs”. They are made by Boeing.

Dumb bomb accuracy is within 94.5 meters. Smart bomb accuracy is within 5 meters.

To put it simply, dumb bombs can miss a target by a football field.

Both Mk 84 and BLU-109 are 2000 lb bombs.

But, the BLU-109 are bunker busters. They are designed to destroy underground structures.

Israel also uses small diameter bombs. These are made by Boeing. They are 250 lbs. They are called GBU-39.

The Ahli Hospital attack was suspected to involve small-diameter bombs.
As of last week, US has given around 15,000 bombs:

5000 Mk 82
5400 Mk 84
1000 GBU-39
100 BLU-109
3000 JDAMS

The US has been much less transparent about weapons delivery to Israel, compared to Ukraine.

Each Mk 82 costs $4,000. That’s $20 million.
Each Mk 84 costs $16,000. That’s $90 million.
Each GBU-39 costs $40,000. That’s $40 million.
Each BLU-109 costs $20,000. That’s $2 million.
Each JDAM costs $30,000. That’s $90 million.

That’s $240 million in aerial bombs to Israel.

The US has given 57,000 tank munitions.

155 mm shells cost $8.6 million for every 1000 units.

That’s $500 million worth of tank munitions.

Weapons are airlifted via C-17 cargo planes to Tel Aviv. These planes are made by Boeing.

“We need three things from the US: munitions, munitions, and munitions.”

In the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 500 children were killed in total through the whole war.

In Israel invasion of Gaza, Israel killed over 10,000 infants and children in 2 months.

In exchange for Palestinian lives, the US weapons industry has made record revenue.

They made $740 million in aerial bombs and tank munitions.

But USA was so kind to offer $100 million aid to Gaza, which Congress did not approve.
