Intense Israeli attacks: Israeli bombardment of eastern Rafah continues

Israeli forces have been expanding attacks on Rafah where nearly 1.5 million Palestinians are sheltering. More than 100,000 of them have fled since Monday. The UN says the Israeli army’s takeover of the Rafah border crossing has sealed Gaza’s key lifeline of aid at a time when famine is spreading.
