The Kuwaiti Hospital in Rafah in southern Gaza has shut down after two of its medical staff were killed in an Israeli attack just outside its front doors. The facility is Rafah’s main hospital and was where most of the victims of an Israeli attack on a tent camp for displaced people in Rafah were seeking treatment. Dr Mohammed Tahir, an orthopaedic surgeon, who just returned to the United Kingdom after volunteering in Rafah, described the situation at the hospital.
Israeli forces killed medical workers when it attacked Rafah’s main hospital, where dozens of Palestinians injured in Sunday’s horrific camp attack were being treated. Gaza’s Kuwaiti Hospital has since had to shut, as Israeli tanks advance further into Rafah.
